Scent-A-Beads are small translucent plastic beads
that can absorb up to 30%-40% of their weight in
fragrance oil. Have a flash point of 400 degrees. When scented, the
scent-a-beads can last up to six months. They are perfect
for use in potpourri, sachets for closets, drawers, luggage,
etc. and as an alternative to candles. Scent-a-beads look radiant
in organza bags or in pretty glass jars as dry potpourri.
They are easily colored with liquid candle dye (cosmetic colorants
or candle block dyes DO NOT work). You can make all one color
or multicolor mixes. Let your imagination go crazy with these fun scent-a-beads!!
Caution: Keep out of extreme heat, as they might melt.
Directions: Weight scent-a-beads, add fragrance (15%-30%), then add dye (1-2 drops). Stir
beads with a stick until the liquid is despersed evenly. Put the lid on the jar tightly and shake.
It can take anywhere from one day to over a week for the beads
to absorb all of the oil.
