Cupcake Candle

Here is an adorable candle that is easy to customize. Whether it’s a birthday party, special celebration, or a kid’s spring break activity, this candle is sure to be the talk of the day! (Please note, children should always have adult supervision when making candles.)
Materials:
- 2 piece Small Cupcake Soap Mold MMW212
- Votive Wick Pin
- EcoSoya Pillar Blend Soy Wax PB140
- Fragrance Oil (our example used Carrot Cake)
- HTP-62 Wick
- Candle Dye (our example used Pink Dye Block)
- Size 2 Knitting Needle
Directions: makes one cupcake candle
- Center the Wick Pin in the bottom half of the Cupcake Mold.
- Melt 5.5 ounces of Wax in a double boiler.
- Completely melt the wax and get it to a temperature of approximately 160-180 degrees F.
- Thoroughly mix in 0.5 ounces Fragrance Oil.
- Let the temperature of the wax lower to 155 degrees F.
- Slowly pour the wax into the bottom half of the Cupcake Mold.
- Take the leftover wax and add Candle Dye until the desired shade is reached.
- Slowly pour the wax into the top half of the Cupcake Mold.
- Set aside the leftover wax; it will be needed later.
- Allow the candle to cool.
- Turn the Mold upside down and gently unmold the candle halves.
- Carefully take the Wick Pin out of the bottom half.
- Heat up the tip of the Knitting Needle.
- While the Knitting Needle is hot, push it through the center of the top half of the cupcake to create your wick hole.
- Remelt the leftover wax and drizzle some of it on the the bottom half of the cupcake (this will act like “glue” for the two pieces).
- Quickly place the top half of the cupcake on the bottom half and line up the wick holes.
- Allow the wax “glue” to cool.
- Carefully insert the Wick into the hole, and ta-da…there’s a unique Cupcake Candle to spice up any celebration!
