Candle Wax Reuses
Do you have candle stubs left over from the votives, pillars, and tapers you’ve burned? Instead of throwing them out, try these 2 ideas to reuse the leftover wax.
- If you have a nub of wax leftover from a scented candle, place the stub in your closet. The scented wax will act as a sachet to freshen up the closet with a wonderful aroma.
- If you have drawers and doors that stick, use a candle stub to solve the problem. Rub the wax along the moving parts of the drawer (be careful with getting dyed wax on wood, over time the dye could color the wood) and it will slickly slide back and forth. For a door, carefully take the hinge pins out one at a time. Rub the nub of the candle all over the pins and place them back in the door. No more sticky hinges.
Product Review – Twilight Woods Fragrance Oil
We absolutely adore our Twilight Woods Fragrance Oil! It is a Bath and Body Works Type that has been a huge hit ever since we brought it in five months ago. Our customers just can’t seem to get enough of it.
The same rings true at Bath and Body Works. The scent was apparently so popular that it was their fragrance of the year. Which caused the company to create a new line of products just for men. They now offer Men’s Body Spray, Body Wash, and Cologne to complement the Women’s Shower Gel, Body Lotion, Body Mist, and Eau de Toilette.
This amazing fragrance oil features a mandarin berry top note with a frangipani, mimosa, and honeysuckle body. It is followed by a warm, woody end note of oud wood, musk, orris, and vanilla milk. The scent of the oil evokes the feeling of a mysterious rendezvous in an entrancing forest.
The Twilight Woods Fragrance Oil is great for use with our Bath and Body Shower Suds, Suspension Body Wash & Shampoo, Premium Lotion Base, Cyclomethicone, or any of our Candle Waxes. Use it to make wonderful candles, soaps, lotions, body sprays, shower gels, and other bath items for use around the home, office, or as gifts!

Scented Jack-O-Lantern
Here is an adorable way to turn your everyday reed diffuser bottle into a festive holiday piece! The gorgeous glass Jack-O-Lantern will brighten up a room while filling the air with a wonderful aroma!
Materials:
- Reed Diffuser Bottle (our example used Amber Matic Rectangle Diffuser Bottle)
- Reed Diffusers (our example used Black Reed Diffusers 12 inch)
- Enhanced Reed Diffuser Oil Base
- Fragrance Oil (our example used Pumpkin Souffle Fragrance Oil)
- Paper
- Black Permanent Marker
- Scissors
- Tape
Directions:
- Using the Permanent Marker, draw the face of the jack-o-lantern on the piece of Paper. Be creative as you can!
- Cut the eyes, nose, and/or mouth out of the Paper.
- Fold over small pieces of Tape and adhere to the back of the eyes, nose, and/or mouth. (This will ensure you can use the reed diffuser again even after the holiday!)
- Adhere the jack-o-lantern’s face to the Reed Diffuser Bottle.
- Fill the Reed Diffuser Bottle 3/4 of the way with a mixture of Fragrance Oil and Reed Diffuser Base. (Normal mix ratios are between 20% to 40% Fragrance Oil and 60% to 80% Reed Diffuser Base.)
- Place 10-12 Reed Diffusers into the Bottle.
- The Reeds will wick the Fragrance up and release the beautiful scent into the air!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Creative Tips:
- We simply used paper and marker for the face. Felt, Adhesive Velvet, Vinyl, Foam Pieces, etcetera are all wonderful alternatives for a professional looking Scented Jack-O-Lantern.
- If you want a permanent Scented Jack-O-Lantern that you can use every Halloween you can securely glue the pumpkin’s face onto the glass reed diffuser bottle.
- You don’t have to use a pumpkin scented fragrance just because it’s a Jack-O-Lantern. Try any of our Autumn fragrance oils! For example: Autumn Splendor, Brandied Pear, Fall Foliage, or Warm Apple Crisp.
- If you’re allergic to scents, skip the scented diffuser base and reeds, just decorate the reed diffuser bottle with a spooky Jack-O-Lantern face. After Halloween, take the face off and the colored bottle can then be used as household decor!
