Happy New Year!
“Another fresh new year is here…
Another year to live!
To banish worry, doubt, and fear,
To love and laugh and give!
This bright new year is given me
To live each day with zest…
To daily grow and try to be
My highest and my best!
I have the opportunity
Once more to right some wrongs,
To pray for peace, to plant a tree,
And sing more joyful songs!”
–Williams Arthur Ward
From all of us at Nu-Scents, we wish you a new year of growth, strength, and happiness! Learn from the past, live in the present, and look forward to the future! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Nu-Scents Tip: Beautiful Nails
Neem oil is widely used in India and Africa as an anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal, antiseptic, and anti-parasitic agent in toiletries, soap, toothpaste and skin/hair care products. Why not use it in your own home to beautify your nails? The anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties of Neem Oil help to heal weakened nails and ward off infections that could cause breaking, cracking, or peeling. The oil is also full of fatty acids which are great for the skin and can heal dry, jagged cuticles.
Usage:
Massage 1-2 drops of Neem Oil into your cuticles and nail beds twice daily.

Christmas Lights Reed Diffuser
Add some fragrance and color to your home this Christmas. This is a lovely festive reed diffuser decoration for the holiday season.
Materials:
- Clear Drop Diffuser Bottle
- 10 12″ Natural Diffuser Reeds
- Enhanced Reed Diffuser Oil Base
- Fragrance Oil (our example used Holiday Memories)
- Tiny Colored Light Bulbs
Directions:
- In a sterile container, mix 2.4 ounces Diffuser Base with 1.6 ounces Fragrance Oil.
- Place the Tiny Light Bulbs in the Drop Diffuser Bottle.
- Slowly pour the Scented Diffuser Base into the Bottle.
- Organize the Diffuser Reeds in the Bottle.
- Enjoy the wonderful scent of the season!
Creative Ideas:
- Use as few or as many light bulbs as you would like.
- Create your own holiday fragrance by mixing different fragrance oils together, for example: Winter Wonderland = 1 part Peppermint to 1 part Pine Forest.
- The reed diffuser oil can sometimes eat the color off of items, be sure to use tiny light bulbs that are colorfast. If you already have tiny light bulbs and want to see if they will work, do a test by placing one bulb in a small amount of fragrance/diffuser base and let it sit for several days. If the color stays, those bulbs might work nicely.
- Tie some ribbon in a bow around the neck of the bottle for extra Christmas color.

Nu-Scents Tip: Tree Sap
This time of year, many people buy freshly cut Christmas trees, decorate with spruce leaves, or use pine branches as holiday decor. Dragging in a tree or decorating with leaves and branches can leave you with tree sap covered hands. It is often difficult to wash this stickiness off, leaving a person annoyed and frustrated. Until now… Low and behold, Olive Oil comes to the rescue!
- Pour one Tablespoon of Olive Oil onto a cloth.
- Rub the cloth on your hands until they are clean and the stickiness is gone.
Simple and efficient, you will be left with smooth hands. Olive oil is also a great moisturizer for winter’s dry skin.
