Foaming Bath Butter Recipe

Foaming Bath Butter is a wonderful new unique product. Don't miss the newest innovation in the personal care industry. It is a versatile new base that can be formulated into many different finished products. It has some unique properties:

  • Luxuroius - Creamy cleansing product with the consistency of butter
  • Versatile - Can be used as a moisturizing body cleanser or as a shave cream

Some of the suggested uses of foaming bath butter are:

  • Sugar Scrubs
  • Salt Scrubs
  • Body Meringues
  • Body Parfaits
  • Exfoliating Scrubs

Foaming bath butter can be processed in different ways, but we prefer whipping it with an old-fashioned electric cake mixer (the kind with two beaters), not a stick blender.

Start with a minimum of 2 pounds of product in a bowl. Less than 2 pounds will not work, as there is not enough volume around the beaters. Add 2 ounces of sweet almond oil per pound of product. Begin whipping at a slow speed to break up the foaming bath butter. Once the product has smoothed out, turn your beater to high and watch for the product to double in volume. Add your color, fragrance or any other additives while your whipping.

DO NOT OVER WHIP! Over whipping to 3 to 4 times its volume will cause the Foaming Bath Butter to collapse.

  • Sweet Almond Oil - We found that adding 2oz Sweet Almond Oil per pound of Foaming Bath Butter made the product more moisturizing for facial scrubs.
  • Sugar or Salt - Add your sugar or salt to the point of saturation. Once saturation has been reached, the additional sugar or salt added will remain in crystal form and act as an exfoliant.
  • Fragrance - Foaming Bath Butter will accept up to 5% fragrance oils or essential oils. We recommend usage levels of 2-3%.
  • Colors - Use our cosmetic grade liquid colorant to achieve the colors you desire for parfaits.
  • Jojoba Beads - We found that by adding jojoba beads to uncolored whipped Foaming Bath Butter, we were able to produce a visually pleasing product that had the consistency of icing with dots of color in it.
