RECOMMENDATION: Each color can be made into different shades by adjusting the useage amount. Suggested usage varies for each color & shade, and will vary depending upon wax formula and additives. Once you get the shade you want, keep notes on the amount and measure used for easier color duplication in future batches.
Suggested use percentages:
.002% = approximately 1 drop of liquid dye per pound of wax
.01% = approximately 2-3 drops of liquid dye per pound of wax
.05% = approximately 7-8 drops of liquid dye per pound of wax
.1% = approximately 37 drops (1/4 tsp. + 4 drops) of liquid dye per pound of wax
.2% = approximately 88 drops (1/2 tsp. + 1/8 tsp.) of liquid dye per pound of wax
